Need to Know

Best for
LIU Athletics now calls this 2,500-seat basketball venue Brooklyn Athletic Center. Tickets may still say Steinberg Wellness Center; both refer to the Brooklyn campus arena at Ashland Place and DeKalb Avenue. Use the real court photographs for orientation. The building’s pool and fitness facilities are separate spaces, not amenities included with a game ticket.
Watch out for
The public LIU shop’s November 16, 2026 men’s home opener offers general-admission adult, senior/military and children-12-and-under ticket categories. That does not establish a reserved seat or free infant admission. Check the actual event’s price and eligibility at checkout; no verified LIU seating diagram was found for this guide.
Good arrival window
LIU’s Brooklyn directions give 161 Ashland Place, Brooklyn, NY 11201. Allow time for city traffic, parking or transit, the walk and ticket scanning. Confirm your game’s doors and active entrance with AthleticTicketing@liu.edu.
Main transit note
LIU’s ticket information permits an emailed ticket printed on paper or displayed on a phone. Open the actual ticket before arrival and check the event, date and venue. Confirm bag dimensions, medical or childcare items, re-entry and door time with AthleticTicketing@liu.edu; those rules were not established by the ticket-delivery page.

Parking At A Glance

What to do
For a subway approach, MTA lists the DeKalb Av station elevator at the southeast corner of DeKalb Avenue and Flatbush Avenue. Check current service and elevator status, then arrange the arena entrance, wheelchair position and companion seating with AthleticTicketing@liu.edu. The complete station-to-seat accessible route still needs confirmation.
Best option
LIU’s directions identify municipal parking on Flatbush Avenue Extension across from campus and on Hudson Place between DeKalb Avenue and Fulton Street. Confirm the current operator, access, hours, price and availability before choosing a garage.
Avoid
Use the Brooklyn campus destination. Long Island/Post campus parking and stadium directions describe a different site. The older directions’ parking references do not guarantee a free space or a current event rate.
