There is no universal NFL parking rule. At one stadium, a general lot can be free. At another, driving up without an advance pass can leave you with no normal stadium-lot option. The safest first-timer move is to solve the parking product, the exact entrance and the postgame exit before game day, then check the event notice again before you leave. For Patriots games, Gillette Stadium says general parking in its stadium-owned lots across Route 1 is free. Stadium-side parking is a different, prepaid product. That distinction matters because the word free does not apply to every space around the venue. Save the official route and entrance for the lot you actually chose instead of following the first parking sign you see. Highmark Stadium takes the opposite approach for its general stadium lots. The Bills say an advance parking pass is required, and event-day parking transactions are limited to accessible parking. Your game ticket does not create a drive-up parking space. Buy the correct lot, add the mobile permit to your wallet and follow the current ingress map because the pass only works for the lot printed on it. If you use rideshare, save the pickup point before the game. SoFi Stadium lists drop-off on the northbound curb of Kareem Court, but post-event pickup is at Kareem Court and Manchester Boulevard. Traffic controls can change the approach, and the pickup point is not simply wherever your driver left you. A screenshot of the official map is more useful than a vague note that says use rideshare. Transit service can depend on the event. NJ TRANSIT says Meadowlands rail operates for events with anticipated attendance above fifty thousand, connecting through Secaucus Junction. MetLife also lists the 351 Meadowlands Express bus for NFL games and other large events. Do not assume the train runs just because you used it once.
