Watch out for
Kohl Center basketball and men’s hockey visitors pass security screening; Wisconsin’s current guide places metal-detector screening after ticket scanning. Guest Services near Section 119 handles accessibility questions and lost property. The men’s basketball student entrance is between Gates A and B and opens 90 minutes before tipoff; students wanting to sit together should enter together. Match your sport to its seating layout. The official basketball viewer offers virtual section views, while the separate fan gallery contains real visitor photos; undated viewer prices are not current ticket quotes.

Inside the Venue At A Glance

01

Mixed

Arrival & transportation

Kohl Center sits between the UW campus and downtown grid, so the chosen parking facility and pedestrian approach matter more than the building's street address alone.

02

Mixed

Seat & section strategy

Basketball, hockey, and touring layouts use the room differently; for basketball, compare the exact sideline, baseline, and level while remembering the 300-level elevator limitation.

03

Positive

Event-day character

The arena's scale and central Madison setting can turn a marquee Badgers game into a broad campus-and-downtown event.
