IU Natatorium: Venue layout, IU Natatorium · July 2026 Summer Showdown deck and credential boundaries. Use the original map for routes and visitor facilities.

Complete deck plan created June 25, 2026 preserves competition versus warm-up pools, deck-entry stairs, credential checkpoint, non-athlete restrooms, services and bleachers. It is the named event’s July 2026 reference, not a numbered spectator seating chart or permission for a spectator to enter the deck. The instructional pool closure and hospitality allocations do not establish the next meet’s arrangement. This is a real layout for the named event, supplied by IU Natatorium / Indiana University Indianapolis. Check your event’s current routes, viewing areas and access instructions before visiting.

Complete parking image linked from the July 2026 Summer Showdown hub preserves Sports Complex versus Riverwalk garages, orange detour arrows, northbound/southbound Blackford distinctions, Ohio closure and eastbound/westbound Wabash distinctions. This is an archived construction-phase event route, not a promise that those closures, entrances or directions remain active today. Use the actual upcoming meet’s notice and current signs.

Need to Know

Best for
An IU Indianapolis swimming or diving visit with the actual meet/session admission and east or west spectator gallery confirmed, with lap-swim lane reservations and athlete deck credentials treated as separate access
Watch out for
The published deck plan marks a credential checkpoint and deck-entry stairs; it does not grant spectators pool-deck access. Ticketing and re-entry rules depend on the meet. The official recorded tours show the 2016 renovation, so use current meet instructions for temporary seating, closures and access.
Good arrival window
Use the actual meet’s spectator doors and session information, then allow for the garage-to-gallery route and any ticket/wristband collection. The July 2026 Summer Showdown had different morning, afternoon and evening sessions; its schedule and online-only sales rule are not a timetable or ticket policy for every meet.
Main transit note
The Natatorium is at 901 West New York Street; the recommended Sports Garage has a separate parking destination at 875 West New York Street. July 2026 event maps show construction detours around Blackford, Ohio and Wabash; confirm the current approach instead of treating those archived arrows as live road directions.

Parking At A Glance

What to do
The Natatorium recommends the adjacent Sports Garage for visitors and spectators. Use the current university visitor rates and your meet's parking notice; member parking permits are a separate arrangement.
Best option
The standing Natatorium parking guide recommends the adjacent Sports Garage for visitors, spectators and meet attendees. Check current university visitor rates and the meet notice; monthly recreation-member permits and event entry/payment arrangements are separate.
Avoid
Do not assume the visitor/hourly entrance and an event-designated garage entrance have the same price or access. The July 2026 meet used a designated card-only event entrance, while its construction map marked separate Sports and Riverwalk routes; confirm today’s instructions instead of promising that archived event rate.
